My Left Hand Man

My Left Hand Man (2011) is an eighteen minute long drama/thriller film set in the States. The film centres on a dysfunctional, theatrical family.
Players:
Thomas Brodie-Sangster - Samuel Emerson
Andrew Howard - Warren Emerson
Kevin Bigley - Beckett Emerson

Written and directed by Antonia Bogdanovich, this short is pretty intense for her debut in the fields named above.

Story:
The family scrape by with the money they collected through street performance - with one brother reciting a monologue from Romeo and Juliet (Sangster) and the other brother acting as a cut purse (Bigley). (The fact that the monologue is one of the interesting ones, which has not been overdone makes it a joy to hear.)

As a short, it packs in a heavy vibe with intense close ups and dialogue - compared to other shorts, it strangely doesn't seem like a short. Right. Clarity. - The film envelops you in it's arms and and blinds you with it's world, for what seems much longer than eighteen minutes.

Feature length version:
2014 cast - no trailer as of yet. As far as I know, the story will be similar to the short - the cast will probably be a lot bigger but past that, I don't know what will be different.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster returns as Samuel Emerson in the feature length film.
Luke Kleintank (Finn 'Opie' Abernathy in Bones) is Beckett Emerson.
Sebastian Roche (Balthazar in Supernatural) is probably going to vibe up the role of Warren Emerson with his babe-of-a voice. - Not that Howard didn't do a great job, but I'm intrigued as to how Roche will interpret the role.
